Prosperity Prep
Who We Are
Prosperity Prep is a new program with 501(c)(3) status and fiscal sponsorship through the Resources for Human Development Non Profit Incubator program. The Prosperity Prep OST program provides quality afterschool programming for middle school girls grades 6-8 in the Philadelphia area. The program targets female students hailing from under-resourced communities to promote college degree attainment, community involvement and social entrepreneurship as a career.
Prosperity Prep was founded on the principle that prosperity or success is never truly individual; we prosper most when we focus our efforts in service of others. Prosperity means achieving our desired quality of life. Our core values are leadership, scholarship, sisterhood and community. We believe and teach that these concepts are the “Pillars of Prosperity”.
ABOUT US
Prosperity was founded by educational professionals who share a similar background with the young ladies we serve. Having personally experienced how poverty and urban living presents challenges to success academically and professionally, Prosperity's founders sought to provide a pathway for female scholars to come. Beginning with afterschool programs, Prosperity Prep later expanded its reach to summer programs as well. With extensive knowledge and experience in urban education, our staff is uniquely equipped to meet our student’s developmental needs.
